I’m thrilled to announce my poem “Help Me Learn My Body” now appears in the Summer 2026 issue of Inqueery Magazine!

This is my first publication under this pseudonym. It feels oddly like getting published for the first time ever again, as though it legitimizes my new author name. I wondered at first if using a pseudonym would make publication feel less like something I achieved, but I find it’s quite the reverse.

I always stare too long at my published pieces, trying to absorb the reality of my words displayed on a platform other than my own. Does anyone else find that all the faults in their own work become apparent the moment the piece is published? Typos undiscovered through 10 proofreads suddenly leap to the eyes. Stanza sequence that seemed rock solid during drafting now feels totally out of order. In this case, I think the poem would be stronger if the second stanza became the fourth and the current third and fourth moved up. C’est la vie! That’s an edit for if I ever reuse this poem.

Once again, I am honored to have my work appear in this collection, and hope you will enjoy reading this poem and the rest the issue!

I’m Judith

Or rather the pseudonym I’m currently using here is Judith. I’m a free time writer and full time performer (in the sense that everyone’s performing all the time, some just more consciously than others). My poetry, which centers on translating minor moments into obscure observations, has appeared in various collections under different names. My psyche resides along the Singing River.
