Little Euphoric Moments

Read time: 1 Min.

Fallen tree limb.
Oversized broom
to sweep the smaller twigs
off the driveway.
Group project at the office
scrapped after two months’
non-stop work.
Trauma-bonding with the Gals.
Wine-stained dress.
Chance to use the tricks
our mother taught my sister.
Weirdly phrased email;
the men all scratch their heads.
The women interpret in unison
and I’m within the chorus.
Wooded red clay path.
Briars snagged on hoodie sleeves.
Handfuls of hidden blackberries.

I’m Judith

Or rather the pseudonym I’m currently using here is Judith. I’m a free time writer and full time performer (in the sense that everyone’s performing all the time, some just more consciously than others). My poetry, which centers on translating minor moments into obscure observations, has appeared in various collections under different names. My psyche resides along the Singing River.
