Embrace the Woodland Void

Embrace the Woodland Void

Read time: 1 min.

If you scream in the forest
and no one's there to hear it,
then you've figured out what
screaming into the void means.
Have you walked alone out here
because you couldn't handle their voices
- ringing, pinging, liking, reposting -
- buzzkill workaholic; work harder -
- it's all in your head but respond to it more -

anymore?
Then let them out now.
Crumple the cacophony up into a ball
of high-volume carbon dioxide
and let the safety valve burst.
What you couldn't process,
the trees can
alchemize oxygen from,
so you can breathe
- in through your nose -
- out through your mouth -

until you're ready to leave.
And if you never are,
fine.
The void understands.
